Mark is the project leader for the modular robotics team. The current project
is an outgrowth of his Ph.D. work at Stanford University where he designed and
built a robotic system called Polypod. In addition to robotics, Mark’s
research interests include MEMS and batch fabrication technology, active control
of buckling, and brute force digital time optimal control. His personal hobbies
and activities include helping the Gunn High School robotics team of Palo
