Anne Mulcahy Becomes the First Woman CEO to Receive Chief Executive Magazine’s “CEO of the Year” Award

Chief Executive magazine has announced that Anne Mulcahy, Chairman and CEO, Xerox Corporation, has been selected by her peers as “CEO of the Year.” She joins an impressive group of past winners including: Bob Ulrich, Target, John Chambers, Cisco Inc., and Bill Gates, Microsoft Corp. Mulcahy will be presented with the CEO of the Year award at a dinner at the New York Stock Exchange on July 17, 2008.
Mulcahy's nomination was a unanimous decision by the selection panel, chaired by Bob Ulrich, CEO, Target Corp., and the magazine's 2007 CEO of the Year.
"Mulcahy’s vision and courage to foresee short-term challenges and plan for the long-term is evident in her actions," said J.P. Donlon, editor-in-chief of Chief Executive magazine. “She has done a remarkable job in transforming Xerox into the world's leading document management technology and services enterprise. She is an outstanding leader in every aspect, and we are happy to name her the 23rd CEO of the Year."
